Physical Animation Projects

Here are some animations that I have done over the years that are purely meant to demonstrate physical acting. While dialogue is fun to animate, if the physical motions of the character don’t read clearly then it doesn’t matter how well the face is animated.

Here is the first animation that I did for the character “Basic Guy”. I created him specifically for physical animation practice.

I released “Basic Guy” to the world. It has been fun hearing from everybody around the globe that has used my rig. I’ve seen him used in many ways. From school projects to commercials!

This animation was made solely for the purpose of testing a unicycle rig that I created as well as testing the facial rig that I added to “Basic Guy”. I laugh at how long it is. A ~31 second ‘rig test’!

In this animation, I wanted to figure out how to rig a tie. I wanted the tie to be able to be stretchy as well as removeable.

Being a coffee lover, I thought that it would be fun to bring that into the project as well.

Dialogue Animation Projects

Here are some animations where I take a shot at animating to some dialogue.

This was a lot of fun to animate. The audio is from the movie “Bad Santa”.
